To act, to feel, and to be a programmer is very simply, a struggle. But to have the mindset of one takes a level of understanding and lots of time. As known the goal is to acquire this unspoken power and to help others achieve the same perspective. To paint a picture of an individual who has a programming mindset, one must understand the few key aspects that are consistent in the line of work…

Don’t Quit because of Bug’s

Don’t worry there aren’t any real bugs around, but many consider this to be much worse. If a bug does suddenly appear out of thin air within your code just know that becoming calm and understanding of the problem will aid in the fixation of the root problem yourself. When defining bugs they are really just human error and the best way to solve this is to become better in the craft and with yourself. Humans aren’t perfect, but your mentality can be.

Spot the Big Picture

When attempting a massive project you might become overwhelmed with the sheer size or complexity that is involved and might lose ambition or sight of the goal. A great way to overcome this is to do these three simple steps. 1) Don’t zoom in on the little features within, widen your vision. 2) Ask a friend for help maybe with fresh eyes they can see through smoke that has blinded you. 3) Lastly, stop reaching for perfection. Not every single detail needs to be pristine.

These are only a few tips toward success and the journey will be hard, but the hard work produced will never fade. Just remember, when having the mindset of a programmer to never stop, because the mentality really never ends. And some wisdom by yours truly, “Strive towards perfection you will never make it, but you will become pretty damn close.”
